The Production Supervisor is responsible for the execution of production orders.  Manages manpower and work flow to execute production orders.  Maintains safe production of quality products. Supports the Quality Management System (QMS).  The Production Supervisor will operate out of the manufacturing facility.



Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in related field or combination of education and related experience
  • 5+ years manufacturing experience
  • 2+ years working in a lead capacity:  directing, training, and monitoring the work of others
  • Basic knowledge of safety standards and company policies and procedures
  • Must have good understanding of manufacturing procedures and practices
  • Experience with lean manufacturing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Process and detail oriented
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to coach and mentor
  • Microsoft AX 2012 experience preferred


  • Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuously stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear.
  • Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms at waist level and below the waist; and work in limited space.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manpower and resource planning for assigned manufacturing work cell
  • Manage labor efficiency against budget ensuring proper manpower is assigned and charged to the production order
  • Ensure production documentation is complete and verify for accuracy
  • Maintains quality while enforcing organization standards
  • Collect and report labor efficiencies to Production Manager for review
  • Monitor and measure work flow and quality making changes where necessary to improve throughput
  • Manages staff by orienting, evaluating and training employees
  • Seek to improve existing standards and procedures to support continuous improvement within the department in support of the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Maintain a culture of Safety including leading safety meetings.
  • Collaborate with Safety & Maintenance Supervisor on compliance within assigned work cell as well as review all incidents evaluating opportunities for improvement
  • Review and communicate regarding manufacturability of designs sharing any ideas for cost or labor improvements
  • Maintains equipment and tools ensuring good working condition at all times
  • Responsible for tools checked out to their work area and completion of monthly inventory
  • Complete employee evaluations on time and disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Audit processes ensuring accuracy and effectiveness; make changes when necessary
  • Maintain accurate counts in WIP inventory locations
  • Complete excess material returns at production run completion
  • Review employee timecards for accuracy
  • Empower team members to build skills through cross training and coaching for continued development
  • Accurate reporting of production within ERP system
  • Collaborate with SCM on pick list delivery and priorities
  • Review ERP system for production orders and material availability.  Escalate deficiencies to the appropriate departments for resolution
  • Management of non-conforming materials by identifying, tagging, and movement both physically and within ERP system
  • Develop and maintain all Work Instruction, JHA’s, and 7S for the assigned work cell
  • Maintain a culture of safety
  • Other duties as assigned
